New Cangle CP Primary School

In 1989 the New Cangle School opened on the present site.

Previously the school had been housed in an old Victorian building close to the town centre. At one time this had been the only school in the town.

The new school is housed in a purpose built building designed for today’s primary curriculum with spacious outside play facilities including a dedicated Early Years area.

As a school we are constantly striving to find ways to further improve the provision for the children. We work closely with other organisations to ensure the best opportunities for our pupils and staff.

In July 2005 we achieved Investors in People status. We work in partnership with other schools in the town and are a member of the Haverhill Network Learning Community and a Primary Strategy Network within the town.

We are a Partner School with University of Cambridge Faculty of Education and students undertake teaching experience with us.

We are currently working for recognition as an e-confident school.

Our parents are supportive and the Friends of the Cangle Association are very active, raising funds and organising social events.
